20-30 Somethings
The “20-30 Somethings” will meet to study the video series “Anxious For Nothing, Finding Calm in a Chaotic World” by Max Lucado. While anxiety is a part of life, it doesn’t have to dominate your life. With God as your helper and His promises at your side, you can sleep better tonight and smile more tomorrow. You can talk yourself off the ledge and view bad news through the lens of God’s sovereignty. You can discover a life of calm and develop tools for combating the onslaught of anxiety. Max Lucado, will examine Philippians 4:4–8 to show how we can be anxious for nothing and discover true peace from God that surpasses human understanding. See Chris ( or Jennifer Williams ( if you have questions.
“Goliath Must Fall”
Did you miss out on the “Goliath Must Fall” study this summer? OR Did the study awaken a desire in you to delve more deeply into your giants? Doreen Scheuerman will be leading a six-week study based on this book by Louie Giglio. Giants are those things in life that prevent us from living the abundant life provided us by our Savior Jesus Christ. The five giants Giglio addresses are 1. Fear, 2. Rejection, 3. Comfort, 4. Anger, and 5. Addiction. Chapter seven repeatedly emphasizes “vulnerability.” For those willing to be vulnerable about your giants, come join us. If you would like to purchase the book, Goliath Must Fall, they are available at Mardels or through Amazon. A book would be helpful but is not required for this study.
“Heavenly Questions”
Pastor Tom will begin a new study on “Heavenly Questions”. When asked about “heaven” the usual answer is “I am all for it.” Scripture describes what heaven will be like but still questions remain. Are there levels in heaven? Will there be animals in heaven? Will I recognize my family in heaven? In this study we will be taking a look at what eternity will be like by letting Scripture answer the easy and difficult questions.
